Description
The house is located in the “Al-andalus” area, five minutes from Uta Hammam Square and close to one of the entrances to the medina, Bab El Souk.
It is a building rose in three phases, with an original ground floor (although it is very old, the exact date of building is not known), the first floor was built approximately 50 years ago and the second floor was added in the year 2007. In this last phase we have rebuilt the façade following the traditional designs, and also we have made a new distribution of the inner spaces, adding the suite, which take advantage of the wonderful views toward the medina and the mountains that surround the city. Our main concern has been, since the moment with the reforms, to follow faithfully the architectural style of the historical city of Chaouen, and this premises have been kept strictly, following the specific andalusi style in those elements from there are information: the house main gate, the façade colour, roof with two sloping roofs, terraces…
In the ground and first floor there are both apartments (one in each floor) and in the second floor there is a suite.
Apartments: A bedroom with a double bed (1,50 x 2,00 m.), another bedroom with two single beds (1,05 x 2,00 m.). Moreover, the apartments have a fireplace in the sitting room, a space equipped for cooking and a bathroom. The apartments are very warm, recreating the traditional environment of the old mountain city through their decoration and inner spaces. In these apartments one can live the area with the smells and sounds coming from the streets and the light that come in through the windows. No doubt it is a singular experience.
Suite: It has a bedroom with a double bed, a leaving room with a space equipped for cooking and the bathroom. An inner stair goes up to a special terrace, with an astonishing view of the medina (Alcazaba, Uta Hammam square…). This accommodation is to enjoy the taste of the ancient medina with the combination of the necessary comfort to enjoy the holidays that will remain in the traveller memory.
The apartments and the suite are fully equipped, with heating, sat TV, CD-radio player, table games… We have tried to recreate the Chaouen traditions, but with total comfort.
Sleeping comfort:
We think that good sleeping is the first requirement that our clients will make us, for this reason our beds have the best mattress of the offer, with two different pillows (more and less thick); feather duvets to fight against the cold winter nights and 100% cotton bed linen.
